Missions
VALLOREM’s public service remit is to support and encourage the development of research in management science in the Centre region, at the universities of Orleans and Tours. It involves contributing to the progress of scientific and technical knowledge in that field, and promoting the development of research in the region. VALLOREM is also an organisation that promotes educational revival and a means of training young PhD students and teachers and researchers, offering support for research master's degree students and management science PhD students, as well as senior lecturer colleagues with an authorisation to supervise research (HDR) and university lecturers.
Finally, VALLOREM is a host institution for French and foreign PhD students and researchers, via the creation or participation in inter-university exchange networks throughout the world.
Central to VALLOREM’s scientific project is the issue of the relationships between management and society, by studying the methods of improving the overall performance of organisations. Their overall performance is therefore systematically analysed from the perspective of innovative management practices. The laboratory’s research mainly concerns the fields of SMEs, market services and non-market services.
Thanks to its call for research proposals (APR) and call for expressions of interest (AMI) projects and research agreements with various public and private partners which it has managed and continues to develop, the VALLOREM team aims to put university research in touch with the practices of both public and private organisations. VALLOREM also gives priority to intervention research and develops partnership relationships with socio-economic actors in its region.
