Management
Since September 2019, the laboratory has been managed by:
- Director: Nathalie DUBOST (University Professor – Section 06).
- Deputy Director: Annabelle HULIN (University Professor – Section 06).
The management is assisted by:
- research area managers:
Research Area 1: Typhaine LEBEGUE (Senior Lecturer, authorised to supervise research (HDR) – Section 06) and Eline Nicolas (Senior Lecturer - Section 06);
Research Area 2: Joseph KASWENGI (Senior Lecturer, authorised to supervise research (HDR) - Section 06) and Véronique PLICHON (University Professor - Section 06);
Research Area 3: Isabelle CALME (Senior Lecturer - Section 06) and Eric-Alain ZOUKOUA (University Professor – Section 06);
- communications mangers: Rahma CHEKKAR (Senior Lecturer, authorised to supervise research (HDR) - Section 06), Aurore INGARAO (Senior Lecturer - Section 06);
- international relations managers: Samy MANSOURI (Senior Lecturer - Section 06), Abdel-Malik OLA (Senior Lecturer - Section 06).
The laboratory is run by the General Meeting, the Laboratory Board and the Laboratory Committee:
General Meeting
The General Meeting is made up of permanent researchers from the laboratory.
The General Meeting meets at least once a year, on notification by the Director. Personalities likely to be interested in the laboratory’s research may be invited to attend the meetings, in an advisory capacity.
The General Meeting is informed of the collective activities and resources implemented: definition of projects, monitoring and assessment of activities etc.
When the meeting makes decisions by voting, each permanent member has one voting right and can hold two proxy votes. The quorum is one third of the members present in person or by proxy. Decisions are made by a simple majority. In the event of a tie, the Director of the laboratory has the casting vote.
Laboratory Board
The Laboratory Board is chaired by the Director of the laboratory. It is made up of the Director and Deputy Director, research area managers, representatives of the Doctoral School of Social Science, IAE directors of the two universities, communications managers, the international relations manager and two PhD students elected by their peers. The Board can invite any person, whose presence appears to it to be necessary, to attend its meetings without voting rights.
The Laboratory Board discusses all matters relating to management, defines the scientific policy of the team and approves the list of members of the laboratory proposed by the Committee. The scientific policy of the laboratory is implemented under the responsibility of the Director and Deputy Director.
It meets at the request of the Director or Deputy Director, at least twice a year. Failing that, a meeting can be called at the request of one third of the Board members.
Minutes of meetings are drawn up by a meeting secretary, under the responsibility of the Director.
Laboratory Committee
The Committee is made up of the Director and Deputy Director, research area managers and representatives of the doctoral school.
It:
- proposes the list of members of the laboratory;
- helps to prepare meetings of the Laboratory Board;
- is responsible for managing routine business and can be consulted on any decisions regarding the laboratory;
- makes recommendations on the recruitment and scientific human resources management policy;
- approves PhD registration requests;
- assists the management team in all its duties;
- can appoint one or more representatives of the laboratory whenever necessary.
